Just words [12-30-04]
10 Mar 2005
|
Someone told me the other nite in chat that it ment nothing, just words on a page. Just words? I think not. It's much more than that. How can "just words" make you smile or bring a tear too your eye. Or bring happiness too you? I don't know just what it really is, but more than just words. Sometimes I just sit and watch the words. They are not words that you hear. But, the meaning is there when one of us helps another. Most of us have never met, but we are a family, a large family for sure. Not one of us doesn't have a kind word for the newly dxed. Not one of us won't take the time too listen when someone is feeling down. Not one of speaks "just words".
Just something that was on my mind. Think about it.

Johnnie you are so right .Finding this amazing place where everyone understands me has been one of the best things for my sanity .I only hope I can offer the same support to others that I feel when I visit this chat room. It's not just words on a page it's people reaching out to oneanother and that is always a good thing.
Your new friend.

VERY WELL SAID, JOHN. they're not "just words", they're feelings being expressed using various fonts.I couldn't have said it better, bud. I'm blessed to have you to give me words. they're words that help keep me going every day. They're words that help to give me a reason for waikening up every morning. Thank you, John and all of you who are here. I love each and every one of you. you're ALL a special part of my family.

Just words?!
I know I've only been involved with the chat for about a month, but I'd NEVER say it's "just words".
I have found new friends, gained insight and learned some great soutions to our common problems. In the process, I've had a change to share quips with Johnnie & Karen & Elena & Ron (3 in total) & Dana & Gina & Judy & .... I have a list of about 25 people!
We come together to chat & share our thoughts. To get that touch of companionship we need with people who understand what is happening to us. This chat room is friendly, welcoming & entertaining!
There are many who feel that "virtual" spaces/places are not real. I have to disagree.... This is a very real place with very real people. And I'm glad I've found you.

Penny, I have to agree with you on this site, the words here do have truth behind them. Here I have found friends, and support like I have nowhere else to date. I am glad that I have met you all, too.... Hopefully, someday, we will get a chance to meet; in the meantime, my thanks go out to you all, and you know who you are; so I wont name names, and also.
I 'd like to wish you all the very, very, best and prosperous year ahead. May all our dreams come true and all of us be happy, safe, and friends.
