Internal Tremors [1-25-05]

Hello again, everybody.  And again thanks for all your help through your informative messages.
I am having what I term as "internal tremors...shaking...shivers"  that is the only way I know to describe them.  Once they start it is quite awhile before they stop....they affect my voice and outwardly show through with an  all over tremor, but, thank goodness that is not constant through out the episode.  It even feels like my heart is trembling.
I pray you all have a wonderful evening.  I am off to work on the night shift shortly.
Thanks in advance for your opinions.
Debi

Before my DBS in 2000, I also experienced internal tremors.

PD affects the movement of ALL mucles (including internal organs).

Those of you experiencing dyskinesia (extra uncontrollable movements) from levodopa therapy may also find that it is very common to bite your tongue frequently, the tongue is a muscle also affected with dyskinesia.

I've had this happening for some time now and wasnt sure what I was feeling ..thought it was anxiety !!
I also have terrible muscle pain and exhaustion...does anyone else experience these things ?

Yep, you bet. All that quivering is using up energy & that's gonna make you tired. It's also going to make your muscles ache....

I've got them too, and I feel like I'm shivering most of the time. When I'm not, I'm rigid. When my meds wear off, I've got a resting tremor on my whole right side.

just before my dx, my doc thought for sure it was anxiety.... same symptoms you describe. SO he prescribed an anti-anxiety pill called Lorazapam 1/2 mg. It works so well that I continued my RX to this day.  I dont take it all the time...but when I feel those internal jitters and tremors, I take one and its gone in 10 minutes.I probably take 1 a day although I could take up to 3 the RX says. It works so well, and compliments the Mirapex, no problem.

OOOOOh yes ,  I too get exhausted, like last evening,  sorry debi and all to cut out so abruptly, sorta fell asleep and fell out of my chair. lol  np, not hurt, but sure woke me up!   Does anyone else get rigid at the same  time they are shaking like crazy inside.  Can't see my tremoring much, but the rigidity sure makes it darn difficult to do anything.  And the minute I shiver from the cold, well , its like an invitation for tremors to get started; then they don't quit till I'm warm.   Guess we've got no middle  ground here do we?  lol
talk soon debi , I'm so glad you came into chat tho, everyone here is great.
